The Small Biz Summer Mixer is a relaxed, feel-good evening created especially for the Essex self-employed community - freelancers, founders, creatives, consultants and anyone building a business on their own.
This isn’t a conference.
It’s not a formal networking event.
And there’s absolutely no pressure to pitch.

From the moment you arrive, the focus is on helping everyone feel comfortable and included. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you’ll be greeted by a relaxed, friendly crowd.
Drinks, food and good music
Enjoy food and drinks while background music sets the tone for natural conversation. As the evening goes on, the music will lift and the vibe will shift into more of a laid-back summer celebration.
A light, optional conversation-starter game
Early in the evening, we’ll introduce a simple bingo-style activity to help break the ice. It’s completely optional and designed to feel fun and natural, not forced or awkward.

There’s no formal agenda and no expectation to “work the room”. Stay chatting, meet new people, or enjoy the music and dancing later on - whatever feels right for you.
